RPG 101
The first episode of RPG 101 debuts in the October 2009 episode of Games in Libraries. Find the episode here: http://www.gamesinlibraries.org/?p=155.
I thought I'd start this separate thread to open it up for suggestions/comments. Right now I'm prepping for the November episode. I was thinking of doing an introduction to D&D and using the low-cost starter boxed set as a way to quickly introduce new players to the game.
I will be running a demonstration table of D&D at the BG library for Gaming Day. I'm going through the new rule-set now and hope to play through the examples in the book with my sons.
It's worth repeating that I am open to suggestions to make my segment better. I am keeping it as basic as possible to start. I am assuming the librarians listening have no knowledge of tabletop RPGs. I will also be soliciting suggestions from the librarians on their community forum.
Thanks in advance for your suggestions, feedback and support.
