Pets: I've got two cats, infinitely temperamental who have grown out of the phase of playing with dice.

Religion: Taoist if it needs to have a name. Really Taoist in most of my thought, but that was before I had ever heard of Taoism. Now I get to pick and choose what parts of it fit me and reject the rest.

Education: High school and bachelors in college and a little bit more. College is where I actually started playing but I had been a book worm for anything RPG before that.

Just to test the stereotype - Have you ever lived, or are you currently living, in your parents' basement? No. Never lived in the rent's basement and hope to never have to.

What is your favorite way to spend a weekend? Probably spend the weekend about 1/3 in working on some carpentry, 1/3 gaming and 1/3 relaxing and playing video games or spending time with my girlfriend.

What is your favorite word? Fiduciary. It just sparks to mind all sorts of meanings outside what it really means. It is best used when speaking about a fiduciary judgment day ala Cryptonomicon by Neal Stephenson.

How many languages do you speak? 1 well and 2 not so well, but well enough to cuss and give expletive when necessary.

What is your favorite time of year, and why? Autumn. Autumn just seems to be a sleepy kind of winding down where everything gets too tired to hide it's secrets.

What was your favorite toy as a child? The NES and my Final Fantasy game. I was also a bookworm but went outside and swung the wooden sword around. Funny to see that I"ve gotten so well adjusted in my later life.

What makes you cry? People who ask me what makes me cry. *Sniff*

What is your favorite section of the newspaper? The comics.
Definitely the comics. The rest is depressing but informative.

If you could have one superpower, which power would you
pick? Oooh. If I told you my powers then my secret identity would be
easy to figure out, now wouldn't it?

What is your favorite mode of transportation? Flying, but I settle for car.

Tell us about your favorite RPG character that you've ever played. My first RPG character was a woodcutter turned wood warrior named sun. He wasn't too bright. The typical shopkeep experience would go like this:

Old man shopkeep: "Hey there son come in and look around."
Sun: "Hey, how'd you know my name?"
Old man: "Your name?"
Sun: "Yes my name is sun."
Old man: "How'd you get that name?"
Sun: "It's what my father always called me."

What are your favorite RPGs? I'm being told I have to say it's SVG (Silvervine Games) since that's the one that I'm currently publishing. Outside of that (which is pretty good mind you) I like D&D Second Edition and some of the GURPS stuff. I tend to like anything that lets me have control over my characterization. I've been told BESM is good, too.

What was your WORST RPG session like? Our DM was an intense control
freak who didn't want to allow any sort of player reward. He changed the
standard D&D magic system so we had to buy expensive candles and sit in the
lap of luxury to get back any magic points. In one game session we had
tromped some alligators. My character was a tailor/mage who wanted to tan
the hides. I actually looked up and found a way to do it in game with just the
materials and cooking salt we had. I left them in a pool of water and they
"somehow" must have gotten stolen by ogres in the day we were away from
camp. Our horses weren't touched and our loot in the chests was fine but the
leather which was tanning was gone.
