Tell us
about your favorite RPG character that you've ever played.
Call of Cthulhu, 1920s: My fave character was this 50-year old steel
baron from
Pittsburgh whose son vanished and he met up with the rest of
the group in Innsmouth looking for him. His son was eventually
found, but there was evidence that on the next full moon, he'd
be attacked by a Hound of Tindalos. So I had an inspiration and
my character and the rest of the group took his son to a silo,
then made sure there were no angles in the building, save for the
grain door. The second the Hound dropped in, we shut the door, then
blasted the heck out of it. Later, we boarded a train and stole the
Necronomicon. He was fun.

What are
your favorite RPGs? CoC is one of my favorite RPG's from
other publishers. My own game, Chaos Universiy is my favorite of all
time.
What was
your first RPG session like? I was about 15 and a group
of 25-30 year olds who liked me let me sit in on a D&D session.
It was a mess, because I totally didn't understand game mechanics; I'd
just ask which dice I should roll and whether I should roll high or
low. I never actually did learn the game mechanics well. Still don't
know D&D mechanics to this day.
What was
your WORST RPG session like? We had one where the GM
walked out because we weren't going in the direction he wanted us to
go. That was annoying.
Who is
your all-time favorite person to game with? My brother
rocks. He's only played with me as a GM, but we enable each other so
well.
Do you
have anything gaming-related to plug? I'm the
owner/operator of FireWater Productions (www.firewaterpro.com)
and have been in the industry for over ten years. I was once a creative
designer and editor for West End Games and since then have been
credited in over 50 supplements from over a dozen companies. I do
freelance editing at a discount for other game companies and am always
looking for more work. Fame does not equal fortune, apparently.
