Which of
your accomplishments are you the most happy with? I
completed my first novel half a year ago. Now I know that I have the
capability, and geez, the ability to work on a project for more than a
year.
What is
your favorite word? I used to love the word eccentric,
but I'm a little different than that now. Anything that looks a little
wrong - pseudopod or anemone - fascinate me. I think frell (e.g.
frelling) is the ultimate swear word, and some of my friends copy me
because I use it so
often.
What is
your favorite time of year, and why? I'm a Minnesotan
and that's my answer. Within the state of Minnesota, the weather
changes so often that you can't get used to what it is. There's only
two things that stay the same; it's cold, and it's windy. It's a weird
damn state, but I like it.
If you
could change one thing about yourself, what would it be?
I'm a perfectionist. It has its strengths... but argh. Why so intense
of a one?
Did you
have any embarassing nicknames as a kid? Gryan and
Petey. I don't know where either one of them originated. One of my
friends uses the name "G", a reference to a weasel character I once
played on a Sonic SatAM RPG.
What is
your favorite section of the newspaper? Arts and
entertainment. I find it more fun than the funnies.
If you
could have one superpower, which power would you pick?
The answer changes often, but I think stealth and invisibility would be
fun. Or telekinesis.
What did
you want to be when you grew up? I wanted to be a
paleontologist, and wow, I haven't thought of that for a while. I
adored dinosaurs; I still do.
If you
could pick any other time period to live in - including the future -
which would it be, and why? The romantic Middle Ages or
Renaissance, though anything romantic and beautiful would rock. Yes,
they can't exist; yes, utopias often aren't. A romantic world would be.
My ultimate world for a while, and I'm not sure it still isn't, is from
Gordon Dickson's Dragon Knight series.
What is
the one thing you want to do before you die? I want to
remodel and
live within an ancient medieval castle.
