Two men were arrested in Halmstad under suspicion of murder. A 46 year old man is suspected of murdering Marcus Norén, and a 28 year old man is suspected for aiding the murder. The older man has admitted some of the points. This night the body of Marcus Norén was carried out of an apartement in central Halmstad. 

The police were secretive directly after the arrest, but at a press conference during Friday evening the chief investigator Lars Hamrén could confirm that the older man is facing a charge of murder, and the younger man the charge of aiding a murder. 
At the same time as the press conference, a car arrived at an apartment in central Halmstad. The remains of Marcus Norén were carried out and taken to the morgue. 
The night before the police had received some very interesting pieces of information. This became conclusive for solving the case.

During the day the police put on a search for the two men, and placed the apartment under surveillance. Around 2:00 pm the two men arrived. They were immediately arrested and taken to the police station in Halmstad.

The two suspects are formerly known by the police – both in cases of crimes of violence. The older man admitted to some points during the early interrogations, while the younger man denies involvement in any crime. 

During the Friday evening press conference, the police dismissed all speculations of connections to the role playing games that Marcus Norén played. 

Furthermore there is no information pointing towards any previous connection between the the two suspect and Marcus Norén.

December 27. Marcus Norén, 22, leaves hir place of work at a video rental in the center of Halmstad at around 9.00 pm. At midnight he returns to recieve the keys to the store. After this he visits several bars in Halmstad, ending up at the restaurant La Cocaracha. 

December 28. At 3.40 am Marcus Norén knocks on the window of the closed resturant La Cocaracha. This is the last time he is seen alive. 

December 30. A 10y.o. boy and his 13 y.o. sister finds a severed human head frozen in the ice of the Nissan river. 

December 31. Rescue divers find additional body parts and pieces of clothing in the river. 

January 1. The police hopes to gain valuable clues from the cellphone of Marcus Norén.

Greps i centrala Halmstad i dag
HALMSTAD. Två män har anhållits i Halmstad.
  En 46-årig man misstänks för mordet på Marcus Norén och en 28-årig man misstänks för medhjälp till mord. 
  Den äldre mannen har gjort vissa medgivanden.
  I kväll bars de saknade resterna av Marcus Noréns kropp ut ur en lägenhet i centrala Halmstad.
   Polisen var tystlåten efter gripandet. Men vid en presskonferens på fredagskvällen kunde förundersökningsledaren Lars Hamrén bekräfta att den äldre mannen har delgivits misstanke för mord och att den yngre mannen delgivits misstanke för medhjälp till mord.
  Samtidigt som polisen höll presskonferens anlände en bil till en lägenhet i centrala Halmstad. Ut ur fastigheten bars de delar av Marcus Noréns kropp som har saknats och kördes i väg. 

Intressant tips
  Polisen fick i går kväll ett mycket intressant tips. Det kom att bli helt avgörande.
  En lägenheten i centrala Halmstad – som ligger bara några hundra meter från den plats där Marcus Noréns huvud hittades fastfruset – sattes under bevakning.
  Ingen var i lägenheten och polisen bröt sig in. I ett av rummen hittades alla de kroppsdelar som saknats.
  - De var dolda, men ändå inte svåra att hitta, säger Lars Hamrén till TT. 
  Polisen letade under dagen efter de två männen och bevakade lägenheten. 
  Vid tvåtiden kom de båda männen till platsen. De plockades omedelbart in och fördes var för sig till polishuset i Halmstad för förhör.

Kända av polisen
  De två gripna männen är sedan tidigare kända av polisen – båda i samband med våldsbrott. 46-åringen ska redan i de första förhören ha gjort vissa medgivanden, medan 28-åringen nekar till brott.
  I samband med presskonferensen på fredagskvällen kunde polisen avfärda alla spekulationer om att mordet skulle ha en koppling till de rollspel som Marcus Norén spelade. 
  Det finns heller inga uppgifter om att Marcus Norén skulle ha haft några kontakter med de två misstänkta.

Detta har hänt 
27 december. Marcus Norén, 22, lämnar arbetsplatsen i en videobutik i centrala Halmstad vid 21-tiden.Vid midnatt återvänder han för att hämta nycklar till butiken. Därefter besöker han flera krogar i Halmstad. Slutligen går han till restaurang La Cocaracha. 
28 december. Klockan 03.40 knackar Marcus Norén på rutan till den då stängda krogen La Cocaracha. Det är sista gången han setts i livet. 
30 december. Två syskon, en 10-årig pojke och en 13-årig flicka, hittar ett fastfruset människohuvud i Nissans is. 
31 december. Räddningstjänstens dykare hittar fler likdelar i ån. Dessutom hittas klädesplagg.
1 januari. Polisen hoppas att Marcus Noréns mobiltelefon kan ge viktiga ledtrådar.
