Here, the connections seem to get more tenuous - the word "power" appears in the Dungeon Master's Guide, The History of Witchcraft, and The Necromancers - the word "bidding" appears in the Player's Handbook and Dealing with the Devil - the word "smeared" appears in the Player's Handbook and Into the Unknown (though it's describing two different things being smeared), and so on. It is interesting to note that almost all of these words also appear in the King James Bible, along with hundreds, if not thousands, of other books that have seen print since the time of Gutenberg..
